Lego card

When I saw Di's Lego card on Pixie's Crafty Workshop blog HERE I knew straight away that my great nephew would adore a Lego card for his birthday at the end of this month.  So here is my design.

The Lego bricks were cut 2" x 1" and 1" x 1".  The circles were punched with a 3/8" punch and attached with foam pads to give dimension.  I cut a piece of card 4" square and attached all the bricks to it, trimming off the excess before attaching it to the background.  I thought this would be easier than trying to get the bricks level on the embossed background.  The green background was embossed with an Petite Dot - 6in x 6in Embossalicious Embossing Folder.  Apart from the white card blank, everything else was made with snippets.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

I remember this card at Pixie's! You've done an outstanding CAS of that card, this one is just delightful. Love all these bright colors, & I can just imagine the tedium of attaching all those tiny circles with pop up dots. But it's very realistic and what an adorable card for a 5 yr old. Perfect use of snippets as well. Great job, Miz Liz! TFS & Happy week ahead.

Hi Liz, your card is super ... I remember Di's card too and thought it was a great theme for little children. Mine are in their 40s now but they played with Lego and now my great-grandchildren do too so it would seem it's a timeless theme. Elizabeth xx

I played with Lego too as a child. It was only made in red and white when we first had it. I remember the excitement when they introduced yellow and blue bricks. It was pretty basic then, but we thought it was wonderful!

Fab Lego bricks. The Lego of today is so advanced compared to the Lego my children played with. Hugs Mrs a.

Hi Liz,
a really great looking card, and it looks so realistic.
I just wish these were about for my grandson when he was younger, as he was an avid collector of Lego and anything to do with it.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
