Butterfly

The Butterfly Challenge this fortnight is 'Butterflies + O is for Oval and/or Olive'.  Did anyone else in the UK stock up with a box of card every time they went into a Papermill shop and now have more card than they could use in a couple of life times?!   I knew I had to have a sheet or two of olive card in my pile and sure enough there was!

The corners were die cut with an All Occasions 'Trellis Corner' die.  The Indigo Blu butterfly was part of a set which came as a free gift with a magazine.  I stamped the butterfly using a Memento ink pad and coloured the image with Promarkers.  The image was die cut with a SB oval die and matted on a SB 'Elegant Oval' die cut.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  2. Oh I miss the Papermill stockist there used to be locally, it wasn't a dedicated shop but it had a big Papermill display with plenty to choose from. My stash from there was used up long ago though! A very beautiful and elegant card - love those trellis corners

    1. We had a couple of Papermill shops within fairly easy reach of where we live. They had so much choice, it was easy to fill a box. I even visited the Papermill factory shop in Cumbria once - it was like being in papercraft heaven! xx

  7. Pure elegance Liz. I love the purple with the olive and I like how you have used the two colours for the pearl embellishment. Makes a nice finishing touch.Thankyou for fluttering by and your card will be in the draw twice. Hugs Mrs A.

  9. Lovely card. I was lucky enough to have the papermill factory locally whilst living in Kendal, I was gutted when they shut the factory shop. I know they've been taken over by the paper warehouse craft shop on one of the Industrial estates in Kendal. Not been in that shop for a few years now, but they used to have a good range. Must call in next time I visit my parents. Cara x

    1. We stayed in Kendal a month or two ago, only about a mile or so from the Paper Warehouse. Bought several pack of card there - good range of colours, but I did enjoy the vast range the Papermill had for filling your own box with card. Papercraft Warehouse is nice craft shop though. xx
