Barbecue Time!

Welcome to my two new followers.  Your thumbnail photos are not appearing under my list of followers, so I don't know who you are.  Please leave me a comment and I'll add a link to your blog in my next post.

Well, it's not really barbecue time in the UK!  It was a friend's birthday this month and a group of us clubbed together to buy him a new barbecue, so this is the card I made for him.

I used dies from the following sets:
Sue Wilson - Ornate Pierced Rectangles
Sue Wilson - Stitched Lattice Frames
Sue Wilson - King of the Grill
Memory Box - Stitched Ovals.

The flames were die cut in yellow and I coloured the edges using an orange ink pad applied with an Ink Duster.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  4. This cute barbecue makes us long for some nice warm sunshine and long light evenings Liz, but a great card to give with this associated gift. I love the dies you have used in the background, such a wonderful selection and all with some lovely stitching, and the red card behind goes beautifully, and love those yellow/orangy red flames. x
