Christmas

As I was so behind this Christmas making all my cards this year, I decided to make a start on my cards for Christmas 2026.  I made about a dozen of this design using different patterned papers and snippets of red card and I used a couple of them for last minute cards I needed to send.

The patterned paper was from a 6" x 6" paper pad from The Works.  I die cut the frame using MFT 'Stitched Diagonal Cover-up' die.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Greatest Part of Christmas' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture'. After attaching a rectangle of patterned paper behind the frame, I layered it on a red mat.

I had lots of red and patterned papers left over, so rather than put them in my snippets drawer never to be seen again, I decided to make some more Christmas cards with a different design.

I cut the patterned paper into 1½" squares and the red mats into 1¾" squares and corner rounded all the corners.  The snowflake is a die cut from the Memory Box 'Twilight Snowflakes'.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Perfectly Plaid' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture'.  I have a pile of small square ready to make up some more of this design this afternoon.

Christmas Tags

Tags were the last thing on my list to make this Christmas, so yesterday I sat down and batch made a pile so I can finish wrapping all the presents today.  A simple design so that I could get them all made in time.

I used the gnomes from and the Stampin' Up '#Elfie' set, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers. I stamped a few Lavinia snowflakes for the background with Versafine Clair 'Arctic'.

Craftlandia December Challenge ~ Snowflakes

The December Craftlandia Challenge begins today with the theme of 'Snowflakes'.  Our sponsor this time is Conjurer of Dreams.

Our sponsor kindly gave us images to work with and I chose to use this lovely snowflake image.  I added a strip of pink and white ribbon.  The Memory Box 'Twilight Snowflake' die cut is attached with foam pads.  I used Stampin' Up punches for the sentiment and mat.

Our generous sponsor Conjurer of Dreams.
The prize for this challenge is 4 sets of your choice.
Please head over to the Etsy store to see the range

Allsorts Challenge ~ Create a Scene

Lynn has chosen the theme of 'Create a Scene' for the last Allsorts Challenge of 2025.  As always, you can use the Anything Goes option as we love to see all your creations.  This challenge will end on Wednesday 31st December.

The white base card was made using dies from the Sue Wilson 'Double Pierced Circes' set.  I used a Lavinia Celtic Dream die, 'Alura', which is sadly discontinued.  However, it is currently available as a cutting file, Alora.  I made the background using an Adirondack 'Denim' ink pad, masking off the moon with a circle of card. The navy blue die cut was layered over the top and attached to a pale yellow mat.   I added punched flowers and butterfly.  For the base I used the same ink pad with a Lavinia 'Feather Leaf' stencil.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stamp' Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with SU 'Night of Navy’.

There are two Lavinia prizes for the Allsorts Challenge, one a collection of mini/small stamps with bottle sticker for scene making and three stamps as second prize.

Forest Scene

I've finally finished all my Christmas cards and they are all written.  So here is my last design for 2025.

I picked up this beautiful die at a charity shop recently and this is the first time I've used it.  There was no packaging, so I don't know the brand.  I used the die with a snippet of white card and layered it on a navy blue rectangle, another snippet.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Greatest Part of Christmas' set, stamped with Stampin' Up 'Night of Navy'.

Allsorts Challenge ~ New

This is my second post today.  Please scroll down to see my Crafty Calendar Challenge DT card.

It's my turn to introduce the Allsorts Challenge this fortnight.  I've chosen the theme of  'New'.  Will you make a creation for a new home, new baby, new job, or something else?  There is also the option of Anything Goes.

I've made a New Home easel card for a friend who has recently moved into her own first home.
The image is a Woodware 'Mushroom House' stamp, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers.  I added a little glitter to the flowers and leaves with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

The flat base of the card is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, although it doesn't show up in the photo of my card.

There are two prizes, A4 and A5 stamp sets from AALL and Create.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Winter/Christmas

The last Crafty Calendar Challenge of 2025 begins today with the theme of 'Winter/Christmas'.  I'm really behind with making my Christmas cards this year, so I've done some batch making to try and get them finished before the big day.

I used a Memory Box 'Grand Merry Christmas' die with patterned papers from The Works.  The Christmas tree was punched from a snippet of red card.  I went to a 12 hour craft day last weekend and we were all given a gift of a pack of stars pearls.  They were perfect to put on the top of the tree.

I made a few more using patterned papers from the same paper pad. (24 cards made in total.)

The Crafty Calendar Challenge ends on the 28th December, so a good opportunity to make some last minute festive creations.

Snowdrop Edger

I'm home from the most amazing holiday in South Korea with my hubby and our daughter.  We had a few days stopover in Abu Dhabi on the way home.  What an amazing country South Korea is, so much to see and the people are so friendly.  I thought have time to keep up with my blog visiting, but every day was packed with things to see and do.  I'll include some holiday photos in later post when I've had time to look at them all.

So, a quick birthday card I made for a crafty friend before we went away.
I used a Creative Expressions 'Snowdrop Edger' die with a snippet of navy blue card.
