The challenge on the Butterfly Challenge blog this week is to use autumn colours. I decided to use my favourite Lavinia 'Zen Butterfly' stamp. I coloured it in with Promarkers in three shades of brown and covered the whole butterfly with a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush to add a bit of sparkle.
As anyone who knows me well will tell you, I tend to avoid inky backgrounds. It's not that I don't like them, but I find it hard not to make a total mess of the background. So, today I decided to go out of my comfort zone and use a Creative Expression mask - 'Doodle Squares' and ink randomly with Adirondack 'Sunset Orange' and a Distress Ink 'Tea Dye'.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Such an elegant butterfly, Liz!
