The Lavinia Stamps challenge this month is to use ribbon. I can't resist buying ribbons I like, but when it comes to using them on my cards, I usually don't know where to start. The result is that I have a large selection of unused ribbon reels! So today I took the plunge and opened a new reel of red and white ribbon to go with the Lavinia 'Wild Poppies' stamp I wanted to use.
I added a couple of little black gems to the centre of two of the poppies. The poppies were stamped with Versafine 'Satin Red'.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Lavinia Stamps Challenge 9 ~ ‘Add Some Ribbon’
Little Claire Monthly Blog Challenge # 49 - A Birthday Card
Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 143 ~ Used red card snippet

That's really lovely - everything about it's just right, from the dots on the ribbon echoing the dotty embossed background, to the finishing touch of the black gems on the poppies - beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Liz! I am straight-out going to CASE this beautiful classic card design! I don't have that exact e/f, or poppies, but I have similar and I might actually have that exact ribbon. Cool! Thank you so much for playing for the third time in my NBUS Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell
