Up, Up, and Away!

The challenge on the Less is More blog is 'Up, Up and Away'.  This reminded me of a hot air balloon ride I had about 10 years ago, on a day much like today with lovely blue skies. The City Crafter challenge is to CASE the card here, by picking out one of the elements.  As I'd planned to use my Lil'inker cloud die for this card, I decided to make some clouds 3D, overlapping a square aperture.
The balloon is a Memory Box die, which I cut out three times to paper piece.  The finished balloon is attached with foam pads.  I used the cloud die on blue card to reveal the white clouds behind when it was attached to the card blank. I used the die again on white card so I could use the cut out clouds.  As all the coloured pieces of card I used were snippets, I'll be sharing my card in the Playground.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Less is More Challenge Week 220 ~ Up, Up and Away
City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 258 ~ CCCB Anniversary CASE THREE

  11. This is adorable Liz and the MB balloon with the red and yellow contrasts so prettily with the die cut clouds on that lovely blue card. It is a clever design idea to cut the clouds from the blue for the background and then add several white dimensional clouds as well, and your Lil'inker double stitched square aperture frames the whole perfectly. x

  14. Oh, geez, I feel so silly and wasteful now. Here I sit with a hot air balloon die (NBUS, of course!) when all I needed to do was cut a regular balloon into different colors! You are a genius, Liz, both with the balloon and the cool square aperture of your snippets design - I love it!! Hugs, Darnell

  18. I really like this card. I love how you have just a square of sky showing. And that cloud die is super cool. I so think I'm going to have to add it to my wish list.
