Man Tree

A masculine birthday card today.
The stamp is Little Claire's 'Man Tree', which I stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. I coloured the image with Promarkers and a couple of Stabilo fine pens for the very thin parts of the design.  The image was stamped on a snippet of white card and die cut with a Memory Box Stitched Rectangle die.  The patterned backing and matting papers are all by Anna Marie designs.  My card is finished off with a few Card Candi.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. What a brilliant card! I've never seen an image quite like that before - it's really unusual and perfect for so many men. Thanks for sharing it at Cardz 4 Guyz (I'd have been commenting anyway, Liz, but yours just happens to be one of "my" cards to comment on so I'm commenting with two hats on !)

  11. Brilliant Liz! So perfect for the Cardz 4 Guyz challenge - as well as using snippets of course! I have a set of the Little Claire stamps, as yet unused due to general fear - so I have a good idea how much work will have gone into this! Love it!

    Hugs

    1. This was my third attempt at colouring the image. Promarkers were just too thick for the detailed part of the stamp, especially the bows, so I raided my box of pens and the Stabilo fine pens were perfect for the fiddly parts. xx

  12. Great card Liz. I have that stamp and it is so useful for male cards. I use the fine tips you can put on Promarkers for colouring tiny images.

    1. I used fine tip attachment for some of this image, Sue, but I found they were still too thick for the bows. I could do with replacing the fine tips sometime, but need to find somwhere that still sells them. xx
