White Christmas

I love white on white cards, but have never attempted to make one before.  The embossing folder and sentiment stamp were presents I received recently and seemed perfect for a white on white card.
The embossing folder is 'Frosty Ice Border' by Sheena Douglass and the sentiment stamp, is part of a Visible Image set of stamps. The Christmas Tree is die cut with a Poppystamp 'Snow Flocked Tree' die and is attached with foam pads to raise it up.  I love this die because it embosses as well as cuts and I've added some 'Glamour Dust' to the embossed part.  'Glamour Dust' was also added to the punched snowflakes, the punched star on the top of  the tree and all around the edge of the card.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

I too love white on white cards.
That reminds me I haven't done one in some time.
Love this fab card, and the embossing and all the wonderful sparkle too.

  5. Double WOW from me Liz - what a stunning card - and a perfect, perfect first white on white card - you truly nailed it! Really elegant - and needless to say, much as Lynn of Jimlynn did yeaterday, you've totally 'enabled' me. That embossing folder is just divine!! I always feel I ought to apologise for 'copying' so many purchases - and as is usually the case I also bought one for the Playground toy box. Sheena sure came up with a brilliant design - and you used it perfectly!

    Hugs

  6. Stunning! Love the icy white (& will be checking to see if this fab ef is in some I just got from SD..I LOVE it!) The dimension & glitter on the tree looks so pretty, and I think you did splendid with your 1st WoW! Great snippet make too! TFS & Hugs (I'm glad I'm not the only blogger who gets behind in comments. Sometimes you just have to start all over, and I'm trying to keep up for a bit! Good resolutions and all that, ya know?).

  14. Back again to reply to your comment - the snowflake is a die, it was a cover mount on a magazine a couple of years ago and I like it better than any of my bought snowflake dies - it cuts cleanly every time, and always comes out of the die nicely. And the fact there are a few "solid" areas means it's easy to apply adhesive, even if you want to use 3D glue as I did this time. I think I've seen a very similar one on the cover of one of this month's mags - stalk your newsagent!

    1. Thanks, Jane. I'll have a look through my freebie dies to see if I happen to have one lurking there before I pop off to the newsagents. xx

I love how you've layered the flocked tree and snowflakes over the embossing, and the sentiment you added is very appropriate. Gorgeous!
