Happy Snowman

I went to my local monthly crop and craft day last Saturday.  As I've made all my Christmas cards for this year, I  started making my cards for Christmas 2016 - polishing my halo here!  I've made a few more this week.  I saw the design for this snowman HERE and couldn't resist his cheeky smile.  I designed my card with a similar snowman, but my snowman is smaller, using  1 1/2" and 2" circle punches.
I used a tiny circle punch to punch out the buttons from a snippet of black card.  The mouth was drawn using a 5p coin. (Edited to add - a US dime coin is the same size as a UK 5p coin.) I layered the snowman and sentiment on blue die cuts using Memory Box Stitched Rectangles.  The sentiment and snowman's head are attached with  foam pads to give a bit of dimension.  A tiny triangle of orange card and a snippet of ribbon finished off the snowman. The embossing folder I used is Sue Wilson's 'Frosty Swirls'. As I used snippets, I'll be sharing my card over in the Playground.

  5. Aw Liz - this little chap is totally adorable! Such a clever idea and a perfect way to use up snippets. I know you'd followed the idea from elsewhere but what's so great is that in doing so you gave us some measurements to follow as well! Tee, right down to his mouth (I'd have had a few mishaps there I suspect trying to work out a decnt size). Thanks for that - great stuff :)

And you are on 2016 Christmas cards already?! Got to be more organised next year!) so I will be trying out your snowman idea! Thanks for sharing!
