Happy Birthday Twoo Hoo You!

A masculine card is needed for later this month. I decided to stay away from sporting or DIY themes and use an owl stamp, keeping the colours fairly masculine.
I used a Presscut step die, which I really love, as it comes with dies to cut out the scalloped panels.  The image is from a Woodware set of stamps I've had for ages, die cut with Memory Box stitched rectange die and coloured with Promarkers.  The patterned paper is from a Dovecraft paper stack and the leaves were punched from snippets of green card using a small Woodware punch.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. What a HOOT! We'd love to see you link it to the Twofers challenge too, our current theme is Birds and this gorgeous owl would fit in perfectly. The link is http://twoferschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/challenge-11-birds.html

    1. Thanks, Jane. I knew I'd seen a challenge involving birds, but couldn't remember where I'd seen it. I guess I'd have to make a second bird card.....off for a look. x

    2. Hi Liz, when the Twofers challenge first started, we did ask for two cards, but we decided after a while to change the rules and only ask for one. But we didn't want to change the name, so it stuck like that!

  2. Hi Liz, this card has everything I like - and owl and a paper pieced one at that and again that super stepper die that I now couldn't live without! I do like that little leaf punch too. I love little punches have several out on my desk all the time for punching waste. Barbxx

    1. The owl is actually a stamp coloured with Promarkers. I like the fact that when the stamp is coloured, it looks like it's been paper pieced. There are two owls in the the set, with the other one having little flowers on, but it still looks like it's been paper pieced. xx

    1. Thanks Beccy. I'm not sure how it landed up in an Australian magazine. I've only ever sent photos of some of my cards to UK magazines! xx
