Blue and White

I recently discovered a new challenge, Win and Tonic, so I thought I'd get out my Tonic dies and make a card today.   Usually when I make blue and white cards they are birthday cards for football fans, but this time it's a thank you card.

The Tonic die I chose to use is 'Branwen Briar' die.  The background is blue and white mottled card, which I've embossed with a SB 'Dainty Dots' embossing folder.  The 'Thank You' ribbon is joined behind the layered image, so I could get the words just where I wanted them and the image is raised up on foam tape.  I added three white pearls to the top of the card and because the bottom of the layered image looked a bit bare, I coloured three tiny white pearls with a blue Promaker, so they matched the blue card I've used.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  2. Oh yes. Blue and white does look good . I like your trick of joining the ribbon under the image to get the wording just right. Must remember that ! A new challenge to me too. Hugs Mrs A.

  10. What a delightful card Liz and the embossing complements the Tonic die cut flourish with the butterfly so prettily. The ribbon with the sentiment across the middle is a lovely touch too. x
