Pig Lover

I've been AWOL from blogland for a month, more about that at the end of my post.

My card today is one I made for friends who collect pigs - not real ones!

The pig is a TL die cut, with the head slightly raised up with a foam pad.  I embossed the background with a Sizzix embossing folder and added a strip of ribbon with a sentiment.  Three tiny, green punched stars with tiny pearls  finished off my card.

I am joining in the following challenges:

So........ the reason why I've not been around for a month is that my hubby and I were fortunate enough to go travelling.  Our first stop was Singapore for a few days on our way to New Zealand.  As well as touring New Zealand, we caught up friends in Wellington and Auckland.  We came home via San Francisco, where we visited Darnell and her hubby, Kevin.  I was lucky enough to have a tour of her fabulous Playhouse and even saw a tiny hummingbird sat in a nest in the garden.  Thanks to Darnell for her hospitality and for the following photos.

  17. I've seen the TL pig and wondered "What would I do with that die?". Well, now I see! Isn't this the cutest thing for a pig collector! I like the way you've emphasized the head & this little pinkie looks just darling atop that dots embossed white background! Lucky lucky you to have been able to take this fabulous trip, visit friends. And to cap it all off, to meet & enjoy Our Darnell and her Playhouse. So happy for the both of you, as it's always such a thrill to meet your blog buddies. And to find they're just as sweet IRL as on their blogs! Glad you're back safely after such a fun time!
