I'm home after about ten days or so in North Devon in our caravan, where the weather started off cold and drizzly and ended up so hot and sunny we were looking for shade to cool off! That's British weather for you! We did come back home for day in the middle as I'd booked to go on a trip on The Matthew around Bristol harbour with a group of friends. The Matthew is a replica of John Cabot's ship.
I haven't had much time to visit blogs lately, so I'll be blog visiting over the next few days to catch up. Although was too hot to craft recently, I did managed to batch make ten Christmas cards of this design when the weather was cooler.
The stamp is 'Precious Nativity', by Stampendous, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers. I used a Crafter's Companion 'Snowflakes' embossing folder for the background. The sentiment is raised up on foam pads.

As you've read this far, I thought I'd share a few photos of our trip on The Matthew.
The Matthew is a replica of a caravel sailed by John Cabot in 1497 from Bristol to North America, presumably Newfoundland.
All aboard for a two hour trip.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel's ship, the SS Great Britain, is docked in Bristol Harbour and is a popular tourist attraction.
The harbour is a perfect place to be on a warm and sunny evening.
Delightful image and great colours. Your tour of the old sailing ship sounds good especially to get a trip on it as well. Hugs Mrs A.

That is such a lovely image on your Christmas card. Great to see the pictures of Bristol Harbour, somewhere I've not been for many years and it looks s if the weather was perfect for a trip on the Matthew.

Thats a lovely Christmas card - a certain TV channel which has Christmas crafting on all this week :( has Stampendous on today ( I think) but its too hot to sit inside and watch TV at present.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and sweet card Liz! I love that image, so sweet and love that it focus's on what Christmas is really all about. One can never had to many nativities right?! I also loved seeing the photo's of the ship and you all on it for your two hour trip! Glad you didn't end up on a stranded island like Gilligan! lol Sorry, when you said a two hour trip, made the theme song to Gilligan's Island come to mind.
