The theme of the Twofer Challenge this month is 'Birds', two cards using the same stamp, stencil, or die for the prompt on two different designs, for two different occasions.
For my cards I used a Pretty Quick 'Swan' die, which came as the free gift with a craft magazine recently. A friend loves anything swan related, so I thought this die would be perfect for her birthday, so I bought the magazine more for the free gift! It's not her birthday for a few months, so I am well ahead making her card this early and I know she doesn't look at my blog, so I'm safe posting it. 😉
For my first card, an easel card, I used the swan die with white card and layered it on a Sheena Douglass 'Water Ripple' embossed background. The sentiment is computer generated and attached with foam pads. I added two Fiskars punched feathers to finish off my card.

For my second card, I used the swan die with various colours of snippets of card and layered over a green base die cut. The assembled die cut is attached to a dark blue Sue Wilson 'Pierced Rectangle' die cut. The sentiment is computer generated in dark blue.

What a beautiful die, what beautiful twofers Liz! I've been tempted to buy magazines for the freebies too and have already myself! This one was well worth buying the magazine! I hope you were able to get a great deal on it as I know they can be a bit pricey. I love how your cards came out! The first one is so pretty in the blue and white as a easel card, your friend is going to adore it! The second one is so striking on the black background and pop of green and blue, how could this not cheer someone up who wasn't feeling well?!! Well done on this challenge Liz! Hugs, Brenda

She will cherish it not only for the swan, but for the delightful shape and perfect water e/f! Your second design is very pretty in greens and navy for a snippets get well card! Using a full panel image in Twofer is a real challenge because it's hard to make two different designs with them, but you showed us how it can be done! It works beautifully in blue and white on the easel card, and the coloured version is so cleverly done with all the differently coloured parts to the design, and a wonderful vertical CG sentiment. x
