The March Rudolph Days Challenge begins today and runs until the end of the month. I'm getting my entry in early this month, but with 31 days in March, there's plenty of time for everyone to join in.
Last Saturday, I should have been crafting with a local craft group. There are mainly scrapbookers in the group, with a few other different crafts. The group meets monthly and it's fun seeing what everyone is making. With the current situation it was decided to hold a cyber craft day, with challenges held throughout the day and photos of our makes uploaded onto the Facebook page. The first challenge was to use a craft tool we hadn't use for a long time. I decided to blow the dust off my Edge Master, which is a trimmer with about ten different fancy blades. I had it for a birthday present in 2003 and for a long time it was my all time favourite craft tool, making my fancy scissors pretty much redundant. However, I can't remember the last time I used it.
I used a scalloped blade to cut off about an inch from the edge of the card blank. I used the same blade to cut along a thin strip of red card and a piece of silver foil with stars on and layered them on the card. The image is from the SU 'Snowman Season' set of stamps, coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is from the SU '#Elfie' stamp set. I finished off the card with five silver Card Candi.

Never heard of that tool, but I do rather love the result! That is the cutest of snowmen images and the sentiment is awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat that you've brought that trimmer out of 'retirement' and the card is super. I'm sure most of us keen crafters have 'stuff' which has been lying idle for some considerable time so it is a good reason to use some of our enforced extra indoors time to make use of neglected items.

I love this snowman Liz and the pretty layered scalloped edge looks great and especially using your Edge Master, something I have never heard of but very useful for different edges, and what a great finishing touch with the silver card candi. x

Great use of the edger tool.
I had a cutter that had lots of different edge round cutters to it but they stopped making the cutting strip that was located at the bottom so I had to get rid of it.
