Still here.... but should be somewhere else.

If circumstances were different, I wouldn't be posting on my blog today.  I would be heading to the airport today to fly off to Madrid with my hubby and daughter on a surprise six day trip to celebrate my hubby's big birthday in a few days time.  My daughter and I had been planning the surprise trip for several months, but hopefully we'll get there one day in the future, especially as Madrid is on my hubby's bucket list as a place to visit.  At least my hubby and I are safe and well at home.  My daughter was quite unwell for a couple of weeks with the virus symptoms, but thankfully is now feeling much better.

A One Layer card today.
All the stamps were from the Stampin' Up 'Thoughtful Blooms' set of stamps, inked up for the first time.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  5. We should have been in Madrid last week as the highlight to the end of a tour to Spain Liz - a place I have never been (along with Cordoba) and like hubby still on my wish list - although we are very reluctant now to even talk about going next year - I think wait for a vaccine then plan! I hope he has a lovely birthday and glad to hear that your daughter is over the worst. x

  10. Lovely card!
I understand you so well, Liz! I should have gone to Norway to visit my son and his family a couple of weeks ago. Last time we were together was a year ago. We are hoping of normal times.
So good to hear that your daughter is doing better.
All the best and God's blessings for all of you!
    Hugs, Liv

I hope you didn't tell hubby so he will still be surprised when the trip happens. I'm sending healing thoughts to your daughter and glad to hear she is doing better. The card is so pretty. I love the strips along the sides.

  24. A really lovely creation, great colours, great design. Hope you get your money back, we should have gone off middle of March but Jet2 cancelled all flights and so we got everything back as we had paid the full balance, should be cruising in August but certainly won't be going on that one either, luckily only paid deposit.

  37. Well; that is what we all had to do; changing our plans... Most important nobody get's sick trough me, because I can be a 'çarrier' without knowing... We are so lucky to have this stamping hobby to do and so be a bit in a 'zen-mode' whenever we are crafting...
Your card looks so fresh and I like the little flowers! Hugs, Gerrina
