Umbrella

The theme of the Twofer Challenge this month is Rain/Umbrella.  The challenge is to make two cards with different designs, for two different occasions,  using the same die, stamp or stencil.

I used a Poppystamps 'Heart Showers Umbrella' die on both my cards.

I am joining in the Twofer Challenge #26 with this pair of cards

I die cut the umbrella and layered it on a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die and 'Stitched Scalloped Layer' die.  The background is embossed with a NBUS Sue Wilson 'Rain Drops' embossing folder.  The letters are Memory Box 'Uppercase Alphabet Soup' dies and I used a teardrop punch for the pink raindrops.

I'm joining in the following challenges with this card:

My second card uses the same umbrella die.  I cut it out in blue and again in yellow.  I put a strip of blue behind the hearts.  On a piece of white card, slightly smaller than the card blank, I die cut raindrops using a Memory Box 'A Little Rain' on both sides of the card and backed with a piece of blue card. The umbrella and computer generated sentiment were glued in the middle, before attaching the card on the card blank with a sheet of foam to raise it up.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

  3. Two great cards Liz. I love them both but I think the baby shower one is my favourite. I love the cut out hearts on the umbrella with the dry embossed raindrop background, and the die cut falling rain looks wonderful on the second and a great CG sentiment too. x
