Cross-stitched Card

I sent this card a couple days ago for a card swap, which I can share on my blog now that I know it's reached its destination.

I die cut a scalloped white square with a Spellbinders
'Lacey Square' die.  I used a Marianne Designs cross-stitch die to cut all the holes in the middle.  I cross-stitched the flower using crochet cotton and matted the scalloped square on a Memory Box 'Stitched Square Layers' die cut.  I added a strip of brown ribbon to match the centre of the flower.  The layered sentiment is raised up on foam pads.

I am joining in the following challenge:
Allsorts Challenge Week 575 ~ Lots of Yellow
HLS June Anything Goes with Dies Challenge
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes
Daisy Chain Challenge #42 ~ Flowers

Last Sunday I joined in a Stampin' Up Zoom meeting with a few crafty friends.  All the materials were sent out to everyone and we all completed our cards and chatted at the same time.  It wasn't the same as meeting face to face, but it was the second best thing.   These are my two cards.

  4. The cross stitch card is really effective and this version must be easier to mount onto a card than using fabric. The two SU cards are really pretty, delicate colours for the floral element.
