Upcycling

I decided to upcycle some shop bought Christmas cards we received last year. Several months ago I die cut suitable card fronts using stitched square and rectangle dies to make them into toppers, then packed them away. Today I finally got round to making cards with the toppers. I added a few sentiments, Card Candi, glitter, silver mirror, matt gold and plain cardstock and a bit of Wink of Stella and embossing. These are the finished cards.

  2. Love a good upcycle Liz, and who can resist purchasing the cards when they go on sale after Christmas? Great idea to make your own toppers with them, they look fabulous!

    1. These toppers were all made from cards we received last year. I’ll be looking through all the shop bought cards we receive this year and hopefully there will be some I can upcycle for next year. xx
