Golden Wedding Anniversary

Friends of ours celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary this month and this is the card I made for them. 

I used a new Marianne Designs 'Cross Stitch Heart' die and stitched the stripy cross stitch design with crochet cotton.  The background of my card was embossed with a Creative Expressions 'Heart Lattice' embossing folder and I added a strip of ribbon across the middle.  The heart is attached with foam pads.  The sentiment is a golden brown colour, although it looks more red in the photo.  Three heart shaped pearls finished off my card.

  6. What a special card you made for them and it is a beauty. The two colors of thread look beautiful together and really enhance the heart. The embossing folder is perfect and the colorful sentiment is lovely. They will be so touched.

What a beautiful card with the cross stitched heart shaped element and such a pretty embossed background with the heart lattice pattern Liz, and finished with that lovely ribbon and heart shaped pearls..a perfect golden wedding card, and with a computer generated sentiment for that added personal touch. x
