The January Rudolph Days began yesterday and runs until the end of the month. My card is a CAS card which I think I might batch make using different colours.
I used a Memory Box 'Dazzling Snowflake' die in a snippet of purple card and layered it on a slightly larger snippet of white card. The layered snowflake is raised up in foam tape and a clear gem put in the middle of the snowflake. The Woodware sentiment was stamped with Versafine 'Onyx Black'.
The As You Like It Challenge asks for my favourite colour and why. I've always loved purple as it's such a rich and vibrant colour and I chose it for my bridesmaids' dresses many years ago.
I am joining in the following challenges:
Lovely card in this color.
ReplyDeleteA stunning snowflake diecut and card
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Liz, and in my fave colour too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday to you

Certainly a brilliant die to use for batch making in lots of colours to use up snippets
ReplyDeleteCor that's a stunning CAS Christmas card Liz. Superb! Great for batch making too.
ReplyDeleteCome and find me and Di up in the Treehouse later for a mug of hot chocolate with extra marshmallows! Xxx
Love that purple colour! And so beautiful CAS! Higs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteStunning snowflake Liz, love the purple.
ReplyDeleteThe purple makes the snowflake really pop
ReplyDeleteCheers, Dr Sonia
Stunning card, Liz. Great snowflake and the purple is really fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! I LOVE this beauty! Perfect in every way.
ReplyDeleteLynn
This is so elegant and beautiful Liz and I love the strong purple which stands out so well against the white, and the added gem in the centre of the snowflake plus the lovely sentiment are great finishing touches. x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Liz! That snowflake die is a stunner, which (shame on me) I rarely use. Love your idea of batch baking a set in different colours - I bet that would put a dent in your snippets! The world is your mussel - or should that be another shellfish altogether?! My Cascadia die arrived from 123 Stitch in the USA - their postage is SO reasonable. I can't wait to set to and use it - have a teenage neighbour whose BD is soon so watch this space! You really are such an enabler - thank goodness I already have the snowflake die!

Just gorgeous and I can see the temptation to make it in lots of colours and also maybe glitter card? Love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Rudolph day! Love the purple! What a good idea batch making in different colours. If you’ve got as many snippets as I have, that could be all your cards made!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Liz and that large snowflake die is stunning, especially with the purple card.

Purple is my favorite color too, and I love what you've done with this snowflake die! I have the die and never quite knew what to do with it, but now I will pull it out and CASE your design! Beautiful card!

Very striking card, Liz. Perfect too for batch making!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Liz! I love that snowflake you have used. This is one that lends it's self to batching making in different colors-maybe a snippet buster too! Hugs, Brenda
