A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Lorraine has chosen the optional theme of 'Use a Stencil'. I decided to use a Dreamweaver owl stencil for my DT card.
I used a black fineliner pen with the stencil to draw the shape of the owl, then created Zentangle patterns in all the different sections. After matting the image and the sentiment, I doodled a pattern to create a frame.
We have some wonderful prizes this month from Sizzix, AALL and Create, Aldridge Crafts, Lavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

ReplyDeleteI love your fun owl and some wonderful zentangling too Liz and the frame finishes it beautifully. I don't know if you pencilled lines to help keep it straight but whatever you did a great job...I think mine would have gone wonky...lol. x

OMGosh Liz, I must apologize to you for not being by since early April! I was going to try and catch up, but I've missed way to many fabulous cards and holidays to even try to do so. But rest assured, I have been by to look at each blog post that I missed. So many gorgeous cards, and fun holidays! Glad you and hubby are getting away and enjoying yourselves! I am so loving this owl card, it is so trendy and of course black and white is always a great color choice. But it is the zentangling you have done that blows my mind. You are a lady of many talents my friend! This owl looks so amazing! Well done! Hopefully it won't be this long before I'm back again. Mowing and yard work, opening the pool and just being outside with the dog has kept me busy as has my health. Again, I apologize for not being by in so long. Hugs, Brenda
