'I'm planning to recycle as many of the cards we received last Christmas as I can and turn them into new cards. This is the first one. I used Lisa Horton's 'Scalloped Layered Squares Dies' to die cut the shop bought card and matt gold card. I put a clear gem in the middle to add a little sparkle.

Recycling is the best you can do and...making a card with used items is fun! This one is so nice.

I even spelt it a few different ways and it still said not known.
I love your wonderful re-cycled card and your fabulous design.
I have a few I kept too and will re-cycle mine at some point as some are too pretty to throw away.

ReplyDeleteA great idea to recycle your cards .. .. it is a shame to just throw them away.
Even when recycling through our local council they have very strict rules as to what can and can't be on the card front .. .. so keeping them and turning them into another card completely is just perfect. I have never turned mine into another Christmas card but do cut them with a tag die to make labels for Christmas gifts.

I love that you are reusing cards to make new. This is a gorgeous snowflake and makes for a wonderful second card. I love using my previous cards for tags for the next year.
