Snippets Stepper Card + London Photos

Is anyone else still checking their spam comments?  Most days there is at least one genuine comment in my spam and some days there are several.

Onto today's card, a masculine stepper birthday card for my nephew who will be celebrating his 30th birthday in a couple of weeks.
The card base was made with a Presscut 'Step Card' die.  The patterned paper it from The Works.  I layered the Lin and Lene seahorse on the Spellbinders scalloped oval mat.

I used lots of snippets, including turquoise for the mat which I forgot to take a photo of.

I am joining in the following challenges:

As promised in a previous post, a few photos of my recent trip to London with my daughter, Joanna.
The main purpose of going was to see the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour in the O2.  Last time we were in London, Joanna had me climbing over the top of the O2!

We visited St Paul's Cathedral. The last went inside I was a teenager, but didn't get the chance to climb inside the dome to the whispering gallery that time.

So we climbed up the steps to the Whispering Gallery. (I can now cross that off my bucket list.)

We carried on up the 528 steps to the Stone Gallery and finally to the Golden Gallery, which is a walkway on top of the dome.

During a guided walk around London, we went down Pudding Lane  and saw the plaque marking the spot where the Great Fire of London started in 1666.  (Did you know that if you put Roman numerals in order of value, the date is 1666?)

We saw lots of famous London landmarks.

We went to 'Frameless', an amazing immersive experience, where works of art come to life as you navigate the rooms.

  4. I love your stepper card with that sweet seahorse, and the background paper goes beautifully..your nephew will love this I think, and what a fabulous time you had with Joanna in London, you certainly packed a lot in and the Strictly Live tour at the O2 looks as though it was fantastic..great photos of the other things you saw and went to. Most of my life I lived about an hour out of London but didn't even go into St. Paul's let alone the Whispering Gallery, and that Frameless immersive art experience looks fantastic. x

  5. Lovely photos of all those landmark sights Liz, one of our sons lives North London and from his front garden you look down at several landmarks, in reality it's a long walk!

Great snippet card and perfect for a man. My spam comments seem to have tailed off recently, but still the odd one from regular visitors which is strange.

  18. I absolutely love your seahorse stepper card Liz - wonderful colours as well. So nice to see your London photos, I worked there for a lot of years and there's so much to see and do! When I was 16, my parents and I spent two weeks exploring London (we lived in Germany at the time) and the Whispering Gallery was a heck of a climb even in my teens! Well done - lovely photos as well Liz!

    1. I thought Jo and I were only going up to the Whispering Gallery, I had no idea that a spiral continued up to the top of the actual dome where we could go outside! It was a one way system, so once we started, we had to keep going. 🤣 xx
