Allsorts Challenge ~ Cuddly and/or Cute

A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Lolo has chosen the theme of  'Cuddly and/or Cute'.  Anything Goes is also an option if cuddly or cute is not your thing.  For my DT card I've made a Spring Fold card with a cute owl which will be going to my great nephew.

The owl is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Adorable Owls' set, stamped with Memento and coloured with Promarkers. I used one of the Lavina pound stamps to stamp around the edge of the die cut stitched square with Versafine Clair Rain Forest. The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Label Me Bold' set.  The patterned paper is from The Range.

The card folds flat for posting.

Football Fan

A masculine card today to use up some black, blue and white snippets.

Used a square of scrap card and marked a pencil cross through the middle. Using two white and two blue smaller squares, lining them up on the larger square to form quarters, the design of our local football team’s kit.  Before laying over a black mat, I embossed the completed square with a Crafts Too 'Football' embossing folder. The sentiment was a pre-loved die I bought earlier this year. There was no packaging, so I don’t know the brand. I cut it out three times and attached them together to add some dimension. Everything was snippets apart from the card blank.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Designer Paper

Sarah has chosen the theme of 'Designer Papers' for this week's Allsorts Challenge. 

I decided to make a masculine Joy Fold card, using designer papers from The Works. The sentiment is a stamp from Stampin' Up 'Best Year' stamped with SU 'Night of Navy.  The card is kept closed with a white star brad.

Prizes are stamps from AALL and Create.

Witches' Brew

A fairly CAS card using some of my recent Lavinia stamps. 

The card shape was cut with a Studio Light triptych die.  I cut three panels using pale lilac card and blended Adirondack 'Purple Twilight around the edges.  I used Lavinia 'Bubbling Cauldron', 'Magical Mist', 'Hattie' and 'Faba' stamps and added some sparkle with Gelly Roll Stardust pens.  The witch's hair was coloured with a white pastel pencil and I coloured the lamp with yellow PanPastel.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Magical, Myths and Legends

There is a new theme of  'Magical, Myths and Legends', chosen by Ellie, for the Allsorts Challenge this week.  As always there is also the Anything Goes option.

I made the background with Adirondack 'Denim' ink and a Lavina Flower Petals stencil, masking off the moon with a circle of card.  I used used Lavinia stamps Arial (Small), Bats, Leaf Creeper, Oak Leaf Branch, Wallace Family, Dandelions, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture', to create my magical scene.  I added some sparkle to the fairy's wings with a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush and some holographic glitter coming from the fairy's wand.

There are beautiful prizes of Lavinia stamps to be won.

80th Birthday

A masculine card today for a friend who celebrated his 80th Birthday recently.  I love this image and sentiment and I used it on another card last month HERE.

The card fold was made with Made To Surprise 'Side Panel Showstopper' dies.  The digi stamp and sentiment are from Beccy's Place 'You're A Hoot' set.  I coloured the image with Promarkers.  There is a pre-coloured version, but I didn't have any patterned paper to match the shade of brown.  The patterned paper is from Anna Marie Designs.  I finished of my card with numbers, using dies from The Works.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Falling Leaves

This is my second post today.  Please scroll down to see my Crafty Calendar DT card.

A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Lynn has chosen the theme of 'Falling Leaves'.

A quick card today as the green card had the white panel already attached.  I made it a while ago for a project I never got round making, so it's just been sat in my box of unfinished projects.  I used a Martha Stewart 'Maple Leaf' border punch down the side of the white panel and added a three larger punched maple leaves.   To finish my card for the Allsorts Challenge, I stamped a Lavinia Stamps 'Autumn Fall' image with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne' onto a Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die cut and die cut a larger black circle for the mat. The green card was layered on a black mat and attached to the card blank.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Anything Goes

The October Crafty Calendar Challenge begins today with the theme of 'Anything Goes'.  My Tri Panel Z Fold birthday card is one from my draft folder, which I made for my hubby earlier in the year.

The image is an old Jolly Nation 'Football Man' wood mounted stamp, stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black', coloured with Promarkers.  I've had the stamp for well over ten years and it comes out now and again as I often make football themed cards. The patterned paper is from a Dovecraft 'Blue Skies'.

I had quite a few thank you cards to make over the last couple of weeks, following our Golden Wedding Anniversary.

I have a big pile of patterned paper snippets from 12" x 12" paper pads, so I found about 20 snippets which measured at least 6" x 4" to use with a Memory Box 'Grand Thank You' die. 

The flowers were made with punches and dies. (All finished cards measured 6" x 4", who said the camera never lies!)

The flowers were made with snippets too and I actually remembered to take a photo of them for the Snippets Challenge.
