A new Allsorts Challenge begins today and Gail has chosen the theme of 'In the Garden'. As always, there is also the option of Anything Goes.
I used a Studio Light triptych die for the card base and layers. The dandelion patterned paper is from The Range. I stencilled the middle panel using a Lavinia 'Dynamic' stencil and 'Kitsch Flamingo' Distress Ink. The fairy is a Lavinia 'Olivia - small' stamp, stamped with Versafine 'Onyx Black'. I added some sparkle to the fairy's wings using a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.
There are two prizes of Lavinia stamps for the lucky randomly drawn winners.
I am joining in the following challenges:

Delightful make in soothing colours

Lovely triptych card for the challenge and the design paper goes with the fairy so well - there are dandelions showing themselves in my garden so it's perfect for the theme
ReplyDeleteA beautiful feminine card, the paper panels frame the gorgeous fairy panel perfectly
ReplyDeleteThe garden theme comes through beautifully in this design, with the triptych structure giving each panel its own moment while still feeling cohesive as a whole. The soft dandelion paper sets a gentle backdrop, and the stenciled center section adds a lovely sense of movement that draws the eye straight to the fairy. The crisp black stamping gives Olivia such presence, and the subtle shimmer on the wings adds just the right touch of magic. The balance of textures and techniques makes this a striking interpretation of the challenge theme.
ReplyDeleteLove that Studio Light die for making cards, it always looks fab. Love that you used pretty papers on the two end panels, that's something I should try to remember as I often struggle to fill all 3 panels! Your card is so pretty Liz. xxx
