Ever had one of those days when the card you planned just didn't work out right? Well... today was my day! I knew I wanted to use my Spellbinders butterfly die, but I changed the card fold, the card size, the overall card design, the colours.....! Oh well, at least the card is finished - even though it is nothing like the original design in my head!

I used my Couture 'Tied Together' embossing folder for the background and Nestability dies to make the frame. The butterfly and black frame were attached with foam pads. The two little punched flowers have tiny black gems in the centre.

This is a lovely bright and cheerful card Liz. I love the red and black combo and the EF you used is one of my favourites too. My own finished cards very rarely match my original idea, they just kind of happen along the way.

Oh my Liz, is this a mega coincidence or what ? I started crafting this afternoon and I knew exactly what I wanted. I started and very strangly I started making a whole bunch of loose ideas that wondered around in my mind. And I started assemblying togethet all these loose ideas. It's not yet finished but almost and it doesn't look in a miljon years like what I had in mind. So very strange. If I can finish it tonight It will be my post for tomorrow.

I'd planned to make several cards today, but so many ideas were going round in my head, this was the only one that I managed to complete. I just found it difficult to focus today.......I'll blame it on the rain!

ReplyDeleteIt was before you joined us in the Playground but at one point Couture Creations discontinued the Tied Together embossing folder! I bought a few very similar ones made by Crafts-Too about a year ago as special playground extra prizes. Then blow me, didn't Couture Creations bring back Tied Together - probably die to public demand :)

I remember when Couture Creations discontinued the embossing folder. When then brought it back I snapped up one quickly, just in case it was discontinued again! x
