Fairy Secret

The Lavina Stamps challenge this month is 'Add Some Glitter'.  I decided to use a glittery metallic thread to wind round a scalloped Nestablity shape.  I also added clear Stickles to the flowers on the Lavinia  'Fairy Wish' stamped image to add more sparkle.  I don't know why, but the clear Stickles always turns green when it's put on Versafine Onyx ink - very strange!
I used a Sizzlets Photo Corner die for the corners.  They had square corners, so I corner rounded them to match the patterned paper.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  2. Lovely card Liz - I always think silhouettes look gorgeous. Clever idea to wind the thread as you did. Wonder if you remember the fad for hammering tacks into black velvet covered board in a pattern and then winding fine cord round to get a similar effect? I made a hot air balloon design - back in the dark ages I should add!

    1. I remember hammering in the tacks too, Di! I'm sure it had a name, but I can't remember what it was. It was all the rage at the time! x
