Canary Card

My DH's uncle is celebrating his 70th birthday this weekend and the only help I got for a theme for the card was that he breeds canaries! Hmmm... it took me a while to think where to start with this one!
I finally decided to use the Stampin' Up bird punch - I'm not sure it looks like a canary, but it IS yellow! I used dark blue card with the Memory Box 'Grand Happy Birthday' die to keep the card fairly masculine.  The numbers are die cut with a freebie set which came with a magazine.

I will be joining in with the following challenges:

  2. Hi Liz,
what a very fab card, and I love the Canary.
    Great design also.
Now this has reminded me of when we had a Canary called Lincoln I used to fall asleep and snore, and he used to copy my snoring, and also the phone ringing.
    He was a clever bird.
Thank you so much for the pleasant reminder.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
