Decorated Wooden Box

Another of my Fiskarettes DT projects, which I can now post on my blog.  This started off as a plain little wooden 'tool' box.  It's about 5" high, perfect for keeping all those bits and bobs in on my craft desk.
I painted the box with green acrylic paint.  The patterned paper is from a DoCrafts paper pad.  The flowers are punched and double layered to make them fuller.  I punched the border at the bottom with a Fiskars Rainbow border punch.  A little wooden ladybird was added as a finishing touch.  All the paper and card I used were snippets, so I'll be off to play in the Playground.

I'm joining in the following challenges:

  5. What a fabby idea Liz and of course wouldn't be complete without the sunflowers! My problem with W10 loading is that our laptops are not capable of taking anything higher than windows 7 so will fall over if an installation tries to go ahead. I have W10 on the little linx tablet I bought to use on holiday and whilst it is all completely different and only just beginning to get my head around it nothing else was on the tablet so anything I load now is a fresh installation and therefore compatible. Still got internet issues. The router fell over during the night and had to have a reset this morning so don't know how long I will be on before it falls over again. It took 5 months for our service provider to fix last time. Hugs Mrs A.

    1. What a nightmare with your internet. :-(

We're holding off as long as we can with Windows 10. I've heard that certain software isn't compatible, so we don't want to install it and find some things just won't work. xx

  7. Great tool box, Liz. You have done a lovely job decorating it...it will have a place of homour in your craftroom, I am sure!

I love this style of box. We used to use this style of box to hold all the grooming tools for my daughters ponies...that is years ago of course, but I still love this style. I have one about the size of yours on my front porch. I pop 2 potted plants in it to brighten things up a bit!
