Fairy Picture

A change for the December Butterfly Challenge with a theme of  'All kinds of Fairies, Elves, Gnomes and Pixies'.  This time my project is a framed picture.  (The faint white lines going through the image are just a reflection on the glass.)

The box frame is from Ikea.  I inked the background of the picture with Adirondack 'Denim' ink and an Ink Duster, masking off the moon.  I used one of the Lavinia Celtic Dreams dies with black card.  Sadly, these dies are no longer made. For a finishing touch, I added tiny flowers punched from snippets of pink card.  For the centres I added a spot of green Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  4. Wow Liz I wasn't expecting to see an entry this soon but my this one is a beauty. I love the stark white against the Fairy scene. I didn't know that particular one had been discontinued. Hope they don't stop anymore. Thankyou for fluttering by my Fairy challenge. Hugs Mrs A.

  5. Beautiful Liz! Really striking and such a wonderful image/die cut. Ha, and I didn't even know that Lavinia made dies, I thought it was just stamps :)

  11. This is beautiful Liz, such a pretty scene. It's always difficult to photograph frames with glass in them - I usually manage to get my reflection in the picture!

  13. I'm always so pleased when I recognize either the LOTV images or a Lavinia design. How brilliantly you've used this fairy motif in your shadow box frame. Much more effective, perhaps, than just seeing on a card (all the depth & dimension). Love the tiny Nuvo flower centers. I like this product much more than the Liquid Pearls (always get blobs with that). You've created such a lovely project to display. TFS & Hugs

    1. I never really got on with the Liquid Pearls, the pearls always seemed misshapen. The Nuvo Crystal Drops always seem to go into a perfect shape. xx

  17. Liz what a beautiful picture the silhouette of the fairy scene works so well against the blue background and the touch of pink for the flowers. Love it.
