Purple and Gold

The Less is More Challenge this week is a colour challenge - Purple and Gold, so I Iooked through my dies for some inspiration.

I decided to use a set of Lin and Lene dies I bought at a recent craft fair.  The set came with the cage and three different birds and had 75% off!  So the whole set cost not much more than a cup of coffee, my bargain of the day! I die cut the cage with gold mirror card, then used the die cut as a template on a snippet of white card. The bird was attached to the back of the cage die cut, before backing with the white card.  I used the side of a large MB 'Stitched Rectangle' die to cut across the purple panel.  The sentiment is attached with foam pads.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  4. A lovely card Liz, and a huge coincidence as I dreamed last night about making a card with a bird in a cage on it. Very strange, as in the same dream I made a card with a die cut owl on a branch on it, and today when we stopped to look around Lyndhurst and there was a craft shop with a lovely owl on a branch die, so of course I had to buy it!

    1. OMGosh, Jane, that is SO spooky!!!!! Before I made this card I die cut a purple owl sat on a gold branch to make a card for the LIM challenge. Somehow it didn't look right so this card was plan B. I've got goosebumps just typing this! xx

    2. Are we subsonsciously designing each others cards? That is really spooky. Perhaps we are slightly telepathic?
