Triple Layer Stamping

I've been meaning to try the Triple Mat/Triple Layer Stamping technique for a while and when I saw a card this week on Jane's blog HERE, I decided to make this card.

Darnell's NBUS Challenge #8  ends tomorrow, so this is my second entry.  I found a tutorial on YouTube and adjusted the measurement to fit a 7" x 5" card. I used a NBUS set of stamps which came as part of a free gift with a magazine.  The flowers were stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers - Berry Red, Tulip Yellow, Violet, Azure and Mint Green and the sentiment was stamped with Versafine 'Onyx'. The layers are attached on foam tape.  This card is actually the second card I made this week with this set of stamps, so I hope is still counts for the NBUS Challenge.  After I'd finished the first card, I opened a black fineliner pen and didn't realise is was leaking.  A lovely blob of ink landed on my finished card!

I am joining in the following challenges.

    1. The blob was on my first attempt, so I didn't post a photo of that one. The ink landed on the white part of the card, so not easy to disguise! xx

  6. Aha, so THIS is what you were making when you had the blobbing incident! Well it was worth persevering because your card is stunning, and would really lift the spirits of anyone feeling poorly. I'm delighted to have been the catalyst that led to such a lovely card

  9. Really lovely card Liz! Such a fun technique, not done it for ages. Have you tried doing it with designer papers? Great way to use up those packs that come with multiple sheets all the same - there's a 'how-to- on my blog somewhere!

Am sat sitting here still fascinated by the snipping ladybird card in front of me - keep playing with it :)

  10. I've just got to find time to try that technique. So pretty and love all the colors you used on the flowers. Sorry about the first card and the blob of ink. That's the sort of things that always happen to me!

  11. I love the stamps you used for this triple technique, Liz, and way to go trying it out! Your finished card is so pretty and it will be just the thing to cheer someone up! (I'm so sorry you had a leaky accident with your first time using the set. That's so frustrating and, of course, it doesn't count as a first-time use!) Thanks for playing in #8 again!! Hugs, Darnell
