The Allsorts challenge this week is 'Fairy Tales and Nursery Rhymes'. My card is based on the story of The Last Unicorn.
I covered a 7 x 5 card blank with pink card. I embossed a piece of the same pink card with a Cuttlebug 'Christmas Stars' embossing folder. The frame was made with two square wonky stitches dies. The unicorn is a die I bought on eBay using a snippet of silver, holographic card. As usual, not much luck in photographing the holographic card! LOL! I raised the framed image up on foam tape. I used a Martha Stewart double-edged 'Doily Lace Trim' punch for the panel across the middle and added tiny, punched, holographic stars.

A dazzling creation Liz - the wonky stitched dies are on my wish list. Shabneez x
ReplyDeleteThe unicorn is such a delicate die, and the hologram paper was perfect to add just the right touch of shimmering magic to his graceful stride. This is one of my fav MS punches, and you've placed the scallops on each edge perfectly aligned. That is not always easy to do. So pretty! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'll let you into a secret, Mary. The MS punched strip was cut into two pieces so I could easily place the scallops exactly where I wanted them. The image covers up the small gap between the two piece. 😉 xx
