Sparkly Christmas Tree

Welcome to my new follower, Ionabunny the Crafty Nomad.  I hope you can visit my blog again soon.

The January Rudolph Days Challenge begins today, the first one of 2020.  I decided to design a CAS card today, which would be suitable for batch making.

I die cut a white circle and a non-shed green glitter circle with Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' dies.  The Christmas tree was die cut with a MFT 'Christmas Tree Window Die' in the white circle - a new die I bought a while ago and finally got round to using it.  After layering the white circle over the green one, I inlaid a gold, glitter star in the top.  The sentiment is a gold peeloff.  I'm planning to have less peeloffs in my stash at the end of the year than I do now!

I am joining in the following challenges:

  6. Always love your CAS cards made with only diecuts! I have to learn, they are time savers, just perfect for my busy days :D Love the clean look of that tree, and the glittered background adds a lot of interest! That cute little star is the perfect touch! I have a lot of peel of too, very unused, even if when I buy them I always think that they are very useful ...LOL :)

  20. What a beautiful card Liz! I love this Christmas tree and have seen it use all over blog land. I need it too. lol I love how you used the glitter paper to be your circle and show through your tree and the gold star. Makes for a striking card! I never had any peel off's as back in the day I wasn't making any cards. But they sure do look nice on a card! Hugs, Brenda

  29. A nicely put together card. I do love a bit of sparkle at Christmas. I too have a huge collection of peel-offs. I remember going to the craft show at Birmingham one year when every stall had boxes of them! I guess die cuts are taking over now. Some of mine are so old their 'stick' is wearing off, so I am trying to get some used up too. Kate x
