I've been away for a surprise few days in Cornwall to celebrate my birthday, so I'm playing catch-up with some of the letters of the alphabet I've missed in Beccy's Month Of Holiday Cards Challenge. I spent today crafting with some friends I haven't seen a long time and decided to make this Christmas card - L for Layering. It's fold I haven't tried before and it was a little tricky, but I was pleased how it turned out.
The patterned papers are from the The Works and I used a Stampin' Up sentiment stamp, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Warm Breeze'.
All the red card was from my snippets drawer, so I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground. I seem to have rather a lot of red snippets!

Finally, two of my favourite places we visited in Cornwall. Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur.....
......and Port Isaac aka Port Wenn, the home of Doc Martin.
Love the card fold Liz, that's a beauty! Wonderful choice of papers and cardstock too, everything coordinates nicely and is bright and colourful.

A fabulous fold Liz, they get more and more intricate, and the papers backed by the red card go beautifully. I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday celebrations in Cornwall and some wonderful photos of Tintagel and Port Isaac. We have been to both but want to go back to Tintagel now they have the bridge so hopefully we will get there soon. x

Did you walk across that suspended bridge across the water? I'm wondering if the house in the last picture is safe or do with windows just lean because of the angle of the picture?
ReplyDeleteYes, we did walk across the bridge, it only wobbled a little bit. We needed to cross it to get to the main part of the castle ruins. The house in the last photo is VERY old and it was built that way. It’s still used so it must be safe. It does look very wonky and it’s just like it looks like in the photo. xx

The new bridge means you don’t have to go up and down twice, although they have a one way system in place so we had to go down and up the steps on the way back. We took advantage of the Land Rover to be driven back up the hill. Lol xx
