I made this card for a challenge on UK Stampers Forum Facebook page. The challenge is to include sewing related images or actual sewing + a stamped image.
I used a Marianne Design cross-stitched tag die cut and chopped the top off to make a rectangle. I used crochet cotton for cross-stitching. For the stamping I used a border stamp from the Stampin' Up 'A Little Lace' set. I stamped the border twice in Memento 'Rich Cocoa' and added a little touch of deep yellow with a Promarker. I used the same ink pad for the sentiment, which is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Best Year' set.
Such a cute owl Liz and the stitching looks great, and finished with the pretty stamped lace top and bottom and also a lovely sentiment..a fabulous fun card. x

I love to see cross stitching on cards for that true homespun look. This owl is too cute and I like that fancy little border at the bottom too.
