Caravan Makes

I always take some cardmaking resources with me when we stay in our caravan in North Devon.  I also keep basic craft tools etc in the caravan so I'm ready to go if we get bad weather.  These are two of the cards I made on a rainy day during one of our holidays.

The patterned papers are from The Works.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stamping Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne'.  The flowers are Sue Wilson's 'Petite Dianthus' die cuts with tiny pearls in the centres.  I bought the die set from a charity shop and this was its first outing.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card.

I made a similar card using the same papers and flower dies.  I used a 'thanks' sentiment die from Crafters Companion..... another charity shop buy used for the first time.
The cards fold flat for posting.

I am joining in the following challenges with this card:

We stayed in our caravan last week and had a lovely long walk along the beach at Westward Ho!. (Do you know that Westward Ho! the only town in the UK to have an exclamation mark as part of its name?  It's also named after a book by Charles Kingsley.) I took this picture as a memory of the amazing patterns the sea leaves on the sand.

  9. I sat for long minutes drooling over that wide expanse of walkable beach, Liz! And what cool information about the name! You know how I think of you as the Queen of Folds and these two are fantastic and so precise. That first one is a great way to use beautiful pp! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! 11. I love the cards Liz, and the photo of the each is amazing! We’re having a few days in Folkestone in our old motorhome, for my birthday. Is it a static or tourer you have? I too take craft bits, this time just some colouring to do xxx

    1. We have a tourer, but keep it on a seasonal pitch now so it never moves. We can use it all year round on the site we’re on, which is a bonus. Our previous site was only open April to October.

  12. You chose a good week for your break Liz, one of our boys was down at Woolacombe for surf last week and said he had some sunny days. I recall from many years ago a lovely tea room at WestwaRD HO, there again there are lots down there!

    Lovely fold to this one.

  17. It's lovely to be able to get away to the coast in your caravan, and for the time of year recent weather has been brighter and more springlike which is encouraging but great to have card supplies to hand in case of a bad day. We have been to Westward Ho! but not for a long time. This is a wonderful shape and using some pretty papers, and you do these sors of cards so well Liz, and the added yellow flowers look great...a super thank you card. x

  18. What an amazing picture of the beach! Brings back memories of when we had a travel trailer. I generally just looked at stamping magazines or did some cross stitch for cards. You made great use of your rainy day! Love the contrast of the 2 beautiful papers--great cards!

  22. These cards are absolutely beautiful! I really love the funfold and the colors you used. It is not very pleasant when it is raining during your vacation, but when you have crafting stuff with you, then everything is allright!. I also take some stuff with me on vacation so I can craft there. Thank you for playing in the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. I hope to see more of your creations in the future. ❤️
