Under the Sea

Another fancy fold which I saw demonstrated recently in a Facebook video.  I'm sure it must have a name, but I don't know what it is.  So please leave me a comment if you know.

The patterned paper was from a 12" x 12" paper pad from The Works.  The seahorse is a very old Sizziz die, one of the first I bought when I discovered die cutting many years ago, when the only dies were the thick ones.  The ovals are Memory Box 'Stitched Oval Layers' die cuts and the seahorse is raised up on foam pads.

When the card is open, it reveals an interlinked, concertina centre.  I added a few punched silver dolphins.

70th Birthday

We went to a family birthday lunch today and yesterday evening I realised that I hadn't made a card!  Looking through my ready made cards, I had nothing suitable.  So I grabbed a a few things and this quick and easy card is what I came up with.

The recipient used to be a publican, so this Digi Stamp Boutique digi stamp, which I'd already printed, was perfect.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and layered it on a beige mat.  The sentiment was already printed too and I layered it and raised it up on foam pads.  The patterned paper was from a Dovecraft 'True Blue' paper pad.  Five Card Candi finished off my card.  We had a lovely lunch and as we left our house in the middle of a power cut, we were glad to be eating out.

Diamond Fold Card

Another 'new to me' fold today, a Diamond Fold.

The patterned papers and die cuts are from the recent Lisa Horton's Box magazine.  The circles are stitched Memory Box dies.

Christmas Star

I returned home yesterday from a few days break in beautiful Surrey.  It was good to get away and have plenty of walks in the fresh air.

Well here we are, half way towards next Christmas and time for the Rudolph Days June Challenge.

I used Lisa Horton 'Cubes' embossing folder with silver mirror card for the background, which posed the usual problems trying to photograph it!  The stars are Lisa Horton 'Layered Stars' from the Stitched Collection.  The layered sentiment is raised up on foam pads and I added a few tiny clear gems, coloured with a blue Promarker, to add some Christmas sparkle.
