Christmas and a Sunburst

A final card for Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Although it's December in Australia, it's still November in the UK and the challenge is still open.  The theme for the last day of November is 'Do What You Love'.  Well, I love to make personalised cards and this one will be going to a football fan who supports a team in blue and white.  (I would never send them a red and white card. 😉)  I made some similar cards HERE, but this time I changed the colour, the  embossing folder and added a die cut snowflake instead of a peel off tree.

The sentiment was die cut with a Memory Box 'Grand Merry Christmas' die and the embossing was done with a Crafter's Companion 'Snowflakes' e/f.   I used silver glitter card for Memory Box 'Twilight Snowflakes' die cut.

I've been meaning to try one of these sunburst cards for ages and finally got round to making one.

The papers are all snippets from an old Dovecraft paper pad and the sentiment was a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocturne'.

Z-Fold Card

Beccy's Month of Holidays Challenge is up to the letter Z, so I thought I'd use one of Beccy's images for the last letter.

The image is from the 'Finn and Molly' set of stamps, coloured with Promarkers.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to the hat, hairband and dress to add some sparkle.   The patterned paper is from The Works and the green mats are glitter card.

Upcycling

I decided to upcycle some shop bought Christmas cards we received last year. Several months ago I die cut suitable card fronts using stitched square and rectangle dies to make them into toppers, then packed them away. Today I finally got round to making cards with the toppers. I added a few sentiments, Card Candi, glitter, silver mirror, matt gold and plain cardstock and a bit of Wink of Stella and embossing. These are the finished cards.

Noel

I'm home from a lovely short break with my hubby and daughter in Manchester, a city I've never visited before.   I'll add a few photos at the end of this post.

The last Rudolph Day Challenge for 2021 started yesterday.  A month today will be Boxing Day!

I followed the instructions for this card fold HERE.  The patterned paper is from a Trimcraft paper pad, 'The Night Before Christmas'.  The circles are Lisa Horton's 'Stitched Scalloped Circles' dies and I used an Xcut Mini Die 'Noel'.  A tiny clear gem in the middle of the 'O' finished off my card.

The card folds flat for posting.

Feather Tree Card and Christmas Treat Boxes

I've seen a few cards online using this feather stamp as a Christmas tree and this is my version.

I stamped the Lavinia 'Feather' stamp with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured it with Promarkers and added a little gold star sequin to the top.  The little Lavinia rabbit silhouette stamp is call 'Pipin'.  I grounded both stamped images with a pale grey Promarker.  The sentiment is a Stampin' Up stamp, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture'.

I made some Halloween Treat Boxes which you can see HERE.  I decided to use patterned paper this time to make some Christmas Treat Boxes.  In a few weeks I'll be going out for a Christmas meal with a group of friends.  I'll be adding a little tag to each box to remind them what food they chose and fill the boxes with chocolates.

The patterned paper was from The Works and I used a Memory Box 'Twilight Snowflakes' die.

Christmas and a Paper Hug

A Half Easel Christmas card to share today, which I made after watching a recent demo using this fold on the Nifty Noodles Crafting Facebook page.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge is up to the letter 'Q', so I decided to use one of Beccy's Freebie images, 'Quilted Deer', which I coloured with Promarkers and I added some tiny red pearls randomly around the image.  The patterned paper is from a paper pad I bought from The Works.  I put a white strip of card raised up on foam tape to act as a stopper for the easel and embellished it with five green pearls.  A stamped SU sentiment finished off my card.

A second card today, which I sent to a blogging friend.
I cut out the sentiment with Stamp Market 'Paper Hug' dies and layered on Memory Box 'Stitched Rectangle Layers' dies.  The background was embossed with a Lisa Horton's 'Pretty Leaves' embossing folder.   The As You Like It Challenge asks if dies or stencils are your favourite.  Mine favourite are dies, because they can be used for the main focal point, embellishments and backgrounds.... and you I can make stencils using dies.

Pyramid Card

I've been away for a surprise few days in Cornwall to celebrate my birthday, so I'm playing catch-up with some of the letters of the alphabet I've missed in Beccy's Month Of Holiday Cards Challenge.  I spent today crafting with some friends I haven't seen a long time and decided to make this Christmas card - L for Layering.  It's fold I haven't tried before and it was a little tricky, but I was pleased how it turned out.

The patterned papers are from the The Works and I used a Stampin' Up sentiment stamp, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Warm Breeze'.

All the red card was from my snippets drawer, so I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground.  I seem to have rather a lot of red snippets!

Edited my post….. I forgot to say that the card folds flat for posting.

Finally, two of my favourite places we visited in Cornwall.  Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur.....
