Christmas Tree

I chose quite a few Lavinia stamps for my recent birthday and I've finally found time to have a little play with a few of them.
For this card I used 'Christmas Joy', stamps from the 'Seasonal Words' and 'Wild Hares Set Small' sets of stamps and well as my little 'Pipin'.  The tree was stamped with Versafine Clair 'Rain Forest' and I added a little brown ink to the trunk.  I used red, yellow and blue Posca pens to add the colour to the tree.  Pipin, the little hare and the Noel were stamped with Versafine Clair 'Nocture' and I added a little grey shading under the images to ground them.  The star was punched using gold glitter card.  The top right hand corner looked a bit bare, so I added three clear gems for a little added sparkle.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Colours of Winter

The theme of the Allsorts Challenge this week is 'Colours of Winter' and has been chosen by Sarah.  I always think of blues and white for winter, so this is what I decided to use on my card.

I've made a Corner Pop-Up card using patterned papers from The Works and navy blue card for the mats.  The sentiment is layered on a Sizzix die cut and I used a punch for the snowflakes.

Prizes this month are from our generous sponsor,  AALL and Create. They have some fabulous bargains and offers, lots of stamps and stencils are half price or less but you need to be quick as the sale will be over very soon.

The Allsorts DT have made some fabulous cards for inspirations, so please hop over to the challenge blog to see all their creations.

Happy Birthday

A birthday card today using lots of snippets.

The 'Happy Birthday' die is a preloved one.  I'm not sure of the brand, but I'm using it for the first time so I'll be sharing it in the NBUS Challenge.  The patterned papers were from my snippets box and the flower and leaf were die cut using dies from the Creative Expressions 'Daisy Blossoms' set.  Everything apart from the card blank was snippets, so I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground.

Reindeer

I'm behind with my Christmas cards this year, so I spent a couple of hours batch making twenty CAS cards.  I used a stamp platform so the cards were pretty quick and easy to make.

I used cream card blanks and the stamps are all from the Stampin' Up 'Dashing Deer' set of stamps.  The stamps are a preloved set I bought last week and using for the first time, so I'll be sharing my card over in the NBUS Challenge.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Christmas Time

Lolo has chosen the theme for this week's Allsorts Challenge and she would like to see your creations with a 'Christmas Time' theme.  A perfect reason to get those last minute Christmas cards made.

I've made a few of these Tri Panel Z Fold card and I thought it would be a perfect fold for my lovely gnome.

The image and sentiments are from the Chocolate Baroque 'A Tomte Christmas' set of stamps and the image is coloured with Promarkers.  The patterned paper is from a paper pad from The Works.

Prizes this month are from our generous sponsors, Stampendous and Oakwood Direct and WOWVOW.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Friendship

It's my birthday today.  Has anyone else noticed that the older you get, the quicker birthdays with a '0' on the end seem to come around!   So here I am, starting a new decade.  🤣

Lynn has chosen the theme of 'Friendship' for this week's Allsorts Challenge.  It would be lovely to see how you interpret Friendship, but if not can always use the Anything Goes option.

I searched for ages to find this Julie Hickey 'Friendship Blooms' set of discontinued stamps and was lucky enough to find a preloved set for sale.  I stamped the image with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured the flower with Promarkers.  I stamped the flower head again, coloured and fussy cut it, before layering over the original flower head and adding a green enamel dot to the centre.  The middle was glued to the card and the edges of the petals raised up on foam pads to add some dimension.  The stamped sentiment is part of the same set of stamps and I attached it with foam pads.  The background was embossed with a Spellbinders 'Dainty Dots' embossing folder.

Christmas Stocking

Another Christmas card to join in with Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards.

The image is from Beccy's Place and was a freebie from a few years ago.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and used Memory Box 'Stitched Oval Layers' for matting and layering.  I added a few yellow gems around the image.  The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug baubles embossing folder, another preloved find from the charity shop and having it's first outing.  The matted sentiment is layered over a strip of ribbon.  Does anyone else have enough ribbon to open their own ribbon shop?   ðŸ¤£

Five Panel Merry Christmas

A fairly quick and easy Christmas card today.

The papers are from The Works.  I used Sue Wilson 'Merry Christmas Trim' die and backed 'CHRISTMAS' with red card.  I don't know why I put the greeting at the bottom, as I think it would have been better at the top.  I'll probably make a few more using this fold and change the placement of the sentiment.

Santa's Legs

I made a Halloween card HERE with stitched witch's legs. Brenda left a comment to say that with a change of colour and could be Santa's legs.  Di agreed with Brenda and challenged me to make a Santa pair of legs.  Not one to turn down a challenge, I adapted the design to make Santa's trousers and his big, heavy boots and here is the result.

I used a MFT 'Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics' die and chopped off the tag part to make a rectangle.  The design was stitched with crochet cotton.  All the patterned paper was from a 12 x 12 paper pad from the The Works, 'I'll be Gonk for Christmas'.  I chose papers that I'd already used so I could just use snippets of patterned paper and join in the Snippets Playground Challenge.

So there you go Di, challenge accepted and completed.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Anything Goes

This is my second post today, so please scroll down to see my Allsorts Challenge DT card.

The November Crafty Calendar Challenge begins today with the easy theme of 'Anything Goes'.  Our generous sponsor this month is Polkadoodles.

Our sponsor kindly gave the DT digi images to work with and I chose to use Which Way Theo Penguin.  I didn't want to print the image on plain white, so I played around on the computer to create and blue background with some puffy clouds before adding the digi stamp on the top.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added a few punched snowflakes.

The Crafty Calendar Challenge ends on 28th November, so plenty of time to join in.  Please hop over to the challenge blog to see the beautiful creations the DT have made for inspiration.

Allsorts Challenge ~ The Great Outdoors

Ellie is the host for this week's Allsorts Challenge and she has chosen the theme of 'The Great Outdoors'.  What inspires you about the great outdoors?  As always there is always the option of Anything Goes.

I made a easel card using a LOTV digi stamp 'To the Top' and coloured the image with Promarkers. The card base was made with Lisa Horton's 'Scallop Layered Circles' dies and the patterned paper is from a Trimcraft 'Sail Away' paper pad.

Our prizes this month are from Stampendous and Oakwood Direct and WOWVOW.

W Fold Card and Snowmen

I made this card for a friend's birthday.

The patterned paper is from a paper pad from The Range. The flower was made with dies from a  Lisa Horton Box kit.  I used a sentiment stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set.

When the card is opened, it reveals the 'W'.  I attached the die cut butterflies to punched circles.  The back of the card is plain for the message.

Another Christmas card to join in with Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards.  Today is a card for 'D',  I'm sure the big  snowman is a Daddy Snowman. 😉
The image is a Bugaboo digi stamp, which is sadly no longer available.  I coloured the image with Promarkers.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Stampin' Up 'Perfectly Plaid', stamped with Versafine 'Satin Red'. The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, another purchase from the charity shop and used for the first time, so I'll be joining in the NBUS challenge again.  I finished off my card with some tiny clear gems to add some sparkle.

Merry Christmas Scarf

This is my second post today, so please scroll down to see my previous post.

Beccy's  annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge began on 1st November.  As we've been away for a few days and only arrived home yesterday, I'm playing catch up with the challenge.  It's already day three in Australia so it's up to the letter 'C', so a quick CAS card with snowman with a Carrot nose.
The image is using another preloved stamp I bought recently in a charity shop, Inkylicious 'Frosty Scarf' stamp. It's the first time I've used the stamp, so I will be joining in the NBUS challenge.  The image was coloured with Promarkers and I added a little grey to ground the snowman.  I used three pearl for buttons to add some dimension.

Monochrome Joy Fold Card

We came home last night from a lovely few days away, which included two visits to Lavinia Stamps. I'll post some photos at the end of this post.  I spent all day on Sunday watching wonderful demos by very talented crafters and came home with a bag of new Lavinia Stamps goodies.

The theme of the current Butterfly Challenge is 'Going Monochromatic'.  A little change to the elements for this challenge, a Joy Fold Card, a choice of five colours for a monochromic design, lace edging ( real or faux) and a butterfly.  I chose to use the 'Lilacs' option.  As the background in the patterned paper was cream, I made the card base with cream card.

I used patterned paper from a Papermania 'French Lavender' paper pad.  The butterfly is a very old Spellbinders die.  The card is kept closed with a brad and I added four tiny pearls.

When the card is opened, it reveals the panel to write the message.  I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the 'lace' edging for the panel.
