Twofer

Two fairly quick and easy cards today.

The first is a birthday card for a friend who loves sheep and is celebrating her birthday next weekend.  I used a pre-coloured digi stamp from Beccy's Place, which I think may have been discontinued.  I resized the image to fit a DL card and added a sentiment typed on the computer.  The frame was made with a die from Lisa Horton's 'Slimline Inverted Scallop Frame' set.

The Rudoph Days May Challenge begins today.  I missed last month as I was in Plymouth for several days visiting my daughter in hospital, so I wanted to make sure I made a card in time this month.  The dove and sentiment are dies from the Tonic 'Peace Dove' set I won a little while ago in The Playground.  The navy blue card is textured, but it doesn't show up in the photo. Three pearls finished off my card.  This is the first time I've used them, so I'll be sharing my card over in the NBUS Challenge.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Blast From The Past

Ellie has chosen the theme for this week's Allsorts Challenge and she had chosen 'Blast from the Past'.  So, we would love to see your Vintage/Retro/Art Deco creations.  As always, there is always the option of Anything Goes.   For my DT card I decided to use one of my stamps in the Charles Rennie Mackintosh style.

The stamp was from a  set which came as a cover gift with a craft magazine some time ago.  I inked up this stamp for the first time with Versafine Clair 'Nocture' and coloured the flowers with a red Promarker.  The frame was die cut with a die from the MFT 'Stitched Circle Scalloped Frames' set and layered over the image/sentiment.  Three red pearls finished off my card.

There are lovely prizes from Stampendous to be won, so please visit the Allsorts Challenge blog to see all the wonderful creations the DT have made for inspiration.

Little Chick

Thank you for all your good wishes for my daughter following her recent operation.   She was discharged from hospital on Sunday and is now recovering at my niece's home.

I made this card for my great niece who celebrated her 13th birthday recently.  She looks after a few chickens and I often make her a card with a chicken on.
For this card I used a precoloured digi stamp from Beccy's Place.  It's the first time I've used this digi stamp from the set, so I'll be sharing my card over in the NBUS Challenge.  The patterned paper is from The Works.  The flowers were die cut with dies from the Creative Expression 'Daisy Blossoms' set.

For my DT card, I used a beautiful AALL & Create stamp which I won recently over in the We Love Stamping Challenge.
The stamp is from the AALL & Create 'See You Soon (#898)' set which I inked up for the first time using Versafine Clair 'Nocture'.  I added some colour with Promarkers.  The sentiment is a stamp from the SU 'Best Year' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Rain Forest' to match the colours in the leaves.  Three tiny lilac pearls finished off my card.

Looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations to help us celebrate a special birthday.

Get Well Soon

I've just realised that I haven't posted anything on my blog, apart from scheduled DT and GD cards, since the beginning of April.  Our daughter was unexpectedly taken into hospital last month for another major operation, so my blog and visiting blogs I follow have taken a back seat for a few weeks.  I made this card for Jo a month ago, but due to her operation being cancelled three times at the last minute, we could only give it to her last week when she finally had her operation.

The patterned paper is from The Works.  I used one of the patterned papers to die cut the Memory Box 'Chloe Stem'.  The sentiment is a stamp from the SU 'Humming Along' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Glamorous'.

As everything I used was from my snippets drawer, apart from the card blank, I'll be sharing my card over in The Playground this week.

Allsorts Challenge ~ Spots and Stripes

The theme of the Allsorts Challenge this week has been chosen by Lorraine and she would love to see lots of 'Spots and Stripes' this week.  As always, there is also the option of Anything Goes.

I used a Lisa Horton 'Padded Quilt' embossing folder for the background.  The patterned paper is from Anna Marie Designs.  I die cut a flower and leaves using dies from the Creative Expression 'Daisy Blossoms' set. The circles are Memory Box 'Stitched Circle Layers' die cuts.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Happy Little Stampers 'Birthday Friends' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Purple Delight'.

There are some lovely to be won from prizes from Stampendous.

Just one more week until our 15th Birthday, please share our logo to help spread the word.  There are amazing prizes to be won, so be sure join us again next week.

Allsorts Challenge ~ More Than One Fold

This is my second post today, please scroll down to see my Crafty Calendar Challenge DT card.

It's my turn to introduce this week's Allsorts Challenge.  I love making fancy fold cards and so I've chosen the theme 'More Than One Fold'.

I saw a similar fold to this, so I worked out the measurements to make the card from an A4 sheet of card.  The papers are all from a paper pad from The Range.  The sentiment is a stamp from the  Stampin' Up 'Humming Along' set, stamped with Versafine Clair 'Warm Breeze.  The sentiment was punched out with a Stampin' Up punch and the mat cut by hand. The two flowers are Creative Expressions 'Daisy Blossoms' dies cuts.  The die cut on the right is Memory Box 'Kensington Branch' cut from a snippet of the dark green patterned paper.  I used the same die to cut the flowers and butterflies in white and yellow and layered them on the original green die cut.

The card fold flat for posting.

There are lovely prizes to be won from  Oakwood and Highlight Crafts.

Just a heads up that Allsorts will be celebrating their 15th Birthday on May 18th, with some special prizes.

Crafty Calendar Challenge ~ Anything Goes

The May Crafty Calendar Challenge begins today with the theme of Anything Goes. Our generous sponsor this month is Di's DigiStamps.

Our sponsor kindly gave us images to work with and I chose to use the pre coloured digi stamp  Valentine Highland Cow.   die cut the image using and mat using Memory Box 'Stitched Rectangle Layers' dies.  The tartan patterned paper is a sheet from a Paper Cellar paper pad.  I punched the sentiment with a Stampin' Up punch and hand cut the green mat. The sentiment is raised up on foam pads.

The Crafty Calendar Challenge ends on 28th May.  Please hop over to the challenge blog to see all the beautiful cards the DT have made.
