Thinking of You

A new follower to welcome today - Shona Erlenborn.  Shona's blog Shona's Stamping Stage has lots of inspiration for using different cardmaking techniques.

Today's card is a sympathy card for a friend.  Unfortunately, I've had several sympathy cards to make lately and they never get any easier to make.  I prefer to use the sentiment 'Thinking of You' rather than 'With Sympathy'.
The stamp is 'Poppy Stems' by Stampendous, coloured with Promarkers and a green Stardust pen.  The die I used is 'Peek-a-boo Dots' by Die-namics.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. A lovely card Liz, sympathy cards are so difficult aren't they? And often need to be made at very short notice too

  3. This is so pretty Liz. Loving that poppy image and it was a great idea to use the Polka dot die like that. Sympathy cards are always hard for me too. I'm sure your friend will appreciate this one. Thanks for the shout out.

  14. Hi Liz, I am delighted to have fond your blog. Your cards are so pretty and very unique. I also prefer "Thinking of You" . . . they don't need to be reminded, they need to be supported and loved. I have gotten out of the card making side of crafting and want to get back into in. My family and friends are complaining that all I do is sew and they miss getting a surprise card in the mail:) You are an inspiration. I am your newest follower and I would be over the moon happy if you were to follow me back. Come visit and see what I did with washi tape in my kitchen.
    Have a lovely day.
Your new blogging sister, Connie :)

  15. Hi there

This is a lovely Sympathy card. I do know what you mean about liking the Thinking of you sentiment. These type of cards are always hard to create. I think it is because we do so with a heavy heart...

I love the dotted die beside those poppies!

  18. I'm with you about using Thinking of You. It conveys sympathy and the person knows you are thinking of them. I love the red and black peeking through the holes.
