The Lavinia Stamps challenge this month is 'Blue or Pink or Both!', so I decided to go with both on my card.
The image is a Lavinia Stamps Celtic Dreams Die, 'Alura', which I cut out in dark blue. I die cut a white circle, slightly smaller than the Lavinia die the make the moonlight background. To do this, I masked off the moon and used an Adirondack 'Denim' ink pad and applied the ink with Ink Duster brushes. I added a little sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen over the wings. I used the Lavinia stamp 'Gip' with a Versafine Majestic Blue ink pad to stamp randomly for the background, before matting on pink card. To finish my card, I punched small pink flowers from a snippet of card left over from the matting, and embellished them with small white pearls.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I just got my very first Lavinia clear stamps (thanks to Eileen Godwin and seeing the pod stamps!) I didn't know there were dies as well. (Ugh! Now I will have something else to drool over). Your combination of these colors looks quite magic and while I'm not a big fairy fan (but I did buy one of the trio fairies from Lavinia!) I really like this one. Guess I am trying to broaden my tastes away from just florals...LOL. Great card. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful stamp and you made a gorgeous card with it. The pink is so soft and light. It looks wonderful with the blue you used. The moon and sky are a perfect backdrop for this fairy.
ReplyDeleteOh what an adorable, gorgeous card.

This is so pretty Liz and the fairy die is a beauty and you have created a great inked background. I love the small stamp you have used randomly on the background and the pretty small punched flowers finish it pefectly. x
ReplyDeleteI thought that background was a store bought pattern paper. You did a fantastic job on it. And the fairy on the moonlight background is just lovely. Those pink flowers are a great touch. So pretty.
