My 90 year old aunt has recently moved into sheltered accommodation, following a bad fall a few months ago, when she broke her hip. Here is the card I made for her today.
I used a Woodware house punch to punch snippets of different coloured card and arranged the houses in a line along a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die cut. My inspiration came from the Lawnscaping Challenge, 'COLOR, inspired by the rainbow' and the photo below I took recently by the harbour in the city centre where I live, where there are a row of houses in all the colours of the rainbow!
For those people who read my post HERE about the Shaun the Sheep trail, my daughter and I finally found the last of the 70 Shauns in Bristol yesterday.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Cute card, and I can definitely see how it was inspired by the harbor photo. Oh, and I love rainbow Shaun, too. Congrats on finding all 70 statues!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card for your Aunt Liz, fantastic place to live.

A really bright and cheerful card. Definitely a warm welcome to a new home x
ReplyDeleteLove this card. It is so Clean and Simple, but really catches the eye. The photo of colourful houses reminds me of my holiday in Ireland a couple of years ago. There was a street in Clonakilty just like that, and we were hunting for Elephants instead of Shaun the sheep, but we weren´t there long enough to find them all. Kate x
ReplyDeleteI love this row of colourful houses Liz, a great case of the photo.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Aunt will soon feel settled in her new home.
Well done to you and you Daughter for finding all the Shauns.

I love the pretty rainbow colour houses on your card and also love that view which we have seen quite a few times! Did you see the Grommits two or three years ago? What fun! x
ReplyDeleteWe saw a few Gromits a couple of years ago, but not very many. The Shauns were in London when we were there in April. I bought the app and it suddenly got very addictive, checking off each one as we found it. I found all 50 in London, so as the app included all 70 in Bristol, I knew I'd have to find them too. 120 different ones in total! xx
DeleteI love your row of pretty little houses, I hope your aunt will be happy and comfortable in her new home. Congrats on finding the final Shaun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.
