New Home

My 90 year old aunt has recently moved into sheltered accommodation, following a bad fall a few months ago, when she broke her hip.  Here is the card I made for her today.
I used a Woodware house punch to punch snippets of different coloured card and arranged the houses in a line along a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die cut.  My inspiration came from the Lawnscaping Challenge, 'COLOR, inspired by the rainbow' and the photo below I took recently by the harbour in the city centre where I live, where there are a row of houses in all the colours of the rainbow!

For those people who read my post HERE about the Shaun the Sheep trail, my daughter and I finally found the last of the 70 Shauns in Bristol yesterday.

I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

  1. Cute card, and I can definitely see how it was inspired by the harbor photo. Oh, and I love rainbow Shaun, too. Congrats on finding all 70 statues!

  2. Beautiful card for your Aunt Liz, fantastic place to live.
    Pam x

  3. The card you made for your aunt is very eye catching. I hope she'll be very happy in her new home. Well done finding all the Shauns. It looks a lovely area where you live.

  4. Lovely card design Liz and love the pictures and post.

    Hugs Diane

  5. CUTE! I love the row of houses in rainbow colors, so fun!

Congrats on finding the last one!

  6. How fun! Love the card and the take on the the village!

  7. H iLiz - I love the CAS card you have made for your Aunt. Well balanced and I like the pastel colour choice....x

  8. What a lovely card, and you can really see how your inspiration came from that row of houses. Gorgeous!

  9. Oh my Liz I love, love your card. These little snippets houses look so adorable.
What a fun way of using your snippets. Well done my friend.
Congrats on finding that last sheep LOL
    Hugs Veerle x

  11. Wow Liz - yet another fabulous card from you. I adore the row of pretty coloured houses, such a great design too - and a super take on the photo!

Hoping your Aunt settles well into her new new home.

    Di xx

  12. A really bright and cheerful card. Definitely a warm welcome to a new home x

  13. Love this card. It is so Clean and Simple, but really catches the eye. The photo of colourful houses reminds me of my holiday in Ireland a couple of years ago. There was a street in Clonakilty just like that, and we were hunting for Elephants instead of Shaun the sheep, but we weren´t there long enough to find them all. Kate x

  14. I love this row of colourful houses Liz, a great case of the photo.
I hope your Aunt will soon feel settled in her new home.
Well done to you and you Daughter for finding all the Shauns.
    Jean x

  15. Adorable card! I love the different colored houses! Thanks so much for playing the Lawnscaping Challenge.

  16. I love the pretty rainbow colour houses on your card and also love that view which we have seen quite a few times! Did you see the Grommits two or three years ago? What fun! x

    1. We saw a few Gromits a couple of years ago, but not very many. The Shauns were in London when we were there in April. I bought the app and it suddenly got very addictive, checking off each one as we found it. I found all 50 in London, so as the app included all 70 in Bristol, I knew I'd have to find them too. 120 different ones in total! xx

  17. I love your row of pretty little houses, I hope your aunt will be happy and comfortable in her new home. Congrats on finding the final Shaun!
    Thanks for sharing with us.

  20. Great card and clever idea, well done on being featured in the playground.
I would love to see the Shaun's - they look brilliant.

  21. A great way to use up all those little bits of paper we keep "just in case".
