Thanks a Bunch

A thank you card today.
The image is an old Anita's wood mounted stamp, stamped in Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers.  I added a white Nuvo Crystal Drop to the centre of each flower.  The embossing folder I used is SB 'Dainty Dots'.

TIP: I love using Nuvo Crystal drops, they look like pearls, but no chance of coming off, especially in the post.  To make it easier to find the colour I need, I've put a drop on the lid of each bottle, remembering to let it dry!  This is really useful as I've got several shades of the same colour and I can see straight away that I've got the shade I need.

  11. Beautiful card Liz! As always, your clean and fresh design is delightful. And I love those Nuvo Pearls - sigh, do I now need some I wonder?

Oh do go for a Misti when you can Liz - I can't imagine not having mine now. Apparently Ileana the designer recently got her patent after a long process and some of the other 'knock off' manufacturers are stopping production of their copies! It's a shame that the Mist is a tad overpriced, and of course with a monopoly I doubt if the cost will come down. I bought mine from 'Dies to Die For' btw :) One of my best investments ever - after the Cuttlebug!

    Hugs

    1. I bought two colours of the Nuvo Glow in the Dark drops today. 😀 Will be interesting to see if they really do glow in the dark, or are just a neon colour. I thought they might be especially fun for children's cards.

As for the Misti, I just happened to order the Tim Holtz version this morning when I visited a craft shop. My daughter gave me some money for Mothers Day, to buy 'something crafty', so I put it towards this. I got it for a good price, I couldn't justify spending the amount the Misti costs. I asked in the shop if they would be stopping selling them because of the patent on the Misti, but they said the patent only applied to selling them in the US. So it will be interesting to see if that's correct. xx
