New Granddaughter

Friends of ours recently became grandparents for the first time to a beautiful baby granddaughter.  I made this card for them.
The image is from LOTV, 'Baby Blanket', stamped with Memento 'Tuxedo Black' and coloured with Promarkers. I used Spellbinder Nestabilities dies for matting an layering.  The embossing was done with an Xcut 'Small Polka Hearts', embossing folder.  I used a Memory Box 'Stitched Country Border' die for the pink, scalloped border and added a computer generated sentiment.  All the pink card and white embossed card were snippets, so I'll be popping over the Playground to share my card.

Tomorrow I'm off to a two day crop, crafting all day until 10pm each evening.... well, probably chatting, laughing and eating for some of the time! 😉

I am joining in the following challenges:

  2. I love your beautiful clean looking card Liz - that will be really loved.
I'm finding this weather too hot and humid and I know from past summers that if I try to make cards that my double sided tape wants to lift in places.
Yesterday I just played making some backgrounds for cards and made a couple of card fronts to stick down when cooler.
Hope you have a really fun time at the crop Liz.

  4. Such a pretty baby card - reminds me I have that stamp but sorry to say it hasn't been used lately so must dig it out - so many stamps so little time! Enjoy your crafty away days, I'm envious.

  9. Just sweet & delicate and perfect for new grandparents. I think that must be just as wonderful as being the actual parents, except without all the night feedings, diapers and worry! Love the embossing and the scallop effects. And it's a particularly pretty shade of pink too, looks lovely with the white. TFS & Hugs (and have fun at the crop).

  11. How lovely. Being a Grandma is the best job ever. Your card is beautiful Liz, great layout and delicate pink colour. As you know, I’m really a Stamper but I tend mostly to use die cuts when I’m making baby cards, I think because they always look so clean and fresh. A lovely card Liz and I’m sure that your friends will love it x
