The fold for the Butterfly Challenge this fortnight is to make a Never Ending Card. It's been on my list of folds to try again, after a failed attempt some time ago. Mrs A has included a tutorial on the Butterfly Challenge blog HERE and her instructions are so easy to follow, much easier than the ones I found in a magazine!!
This is the front of the card. All the papers I've used on my card are from the Wild Rose Studio 'Butterfly Glade' paper pack. The butterfly is an old Spellbinders die, sadly discontinued, which die cuts and embosses two butterflies which can layered together. I used punches for all the flowers on my card and the centres were waste from a die cut.
The second page is has a blank square to write the greeting.
This is the third part of the card......
..... which opens out to reveal the fourth page, before going back to the beginning. I love this fold and I'm sure now I've mastered it, I'll be making many more.
I am joining in the following challenges:
... and before I go, here is my first attempt at needle felting. I'm pleased that my hubby recognised what it is supposed to be and and I'm even more pleased that I only stabbed my finger once!
Oh Liz, I just posted a penguin card on my blog - how funny! Your first attempt is masterful! It's so sweet - well done! And your never ending card is just WOW - I don't think I could ever make that! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I love your card! So unique and pretty. Love that butterfly too. Not sure how you did all the folds, etc. but it looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour needle felting is WOW! I was just looking at that the other day and wondering if I wanted to attempt to do that or not. Did you use a kit or just wing it? Love the penguin!
Lynn
I went to a needle felting workshop with a few friends. We were given a polystyrene ball, a needle and a selection of the felting material and did our own thing. There were some examples for inspiration. Several of us made penguins and they all turned out completely different. xx
DeleteThanks for the info Liz. A workshop sounds like so much fun. I've been looking at some of the kits and stuff on Amazon. They're all just so cute but I LOVE your penguin!
