70th Birthday Napkin Fold Card

The Butterfly Challenge this time is 'N for Napkin Fold'.  I haven't seen this fold before, but Mrs A has put the instructions HERE.  I decided to use all elements of the challenge - Napkin Fold/ Navy Blue/Naples Yellow/New York Pink/Numbers
+ a Butterfly. (The light is not very good today, so not the best of photos.)

I had a little mishap when I messed up the measuring for the scoring of the card base. (Senior Moment!)  There was a slight gap in the middle between the two front pieces, instead of them overlapping, so I added an extra panel down the middle, attached to the left hand side.  The patterned paper is from an old paper pad which I think came a magazine cover gift and the number dies I used came from The Works. The card is kept closed with a piece of pink organza ribbon, attached at the back of the card.

The card opens with the Napkin element in the middle of the card. I added two white Simply Creative 'Butterfly' die cuts to the side panels.

The 'Napkin' opens up to reveal the sentiment and a place for the message.

I am joining in the following challenges:

  1. Super Napkin card. Your little mishap makes for a nice alternative to the closing. Love the paper combination making the pattern up. So pretty. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me this challenge. Hugs Mrs A.

  3. This looks absolutely impossibly challenging Liz and you have made a really pretty card with the pink/duck egg blue patterned papers and the little accident was fixed very cleverly with the added panel and held together so beautifully with the pink organza ribbon and I love the white butterflies within. x
